EASTER JACK-IN-A-BOX

The prompt for the assignment was to design a jack in a box using different electronic components and a laser cutter. Due to the project's proximity to Easter, I designed a box with the theme of an Easter bunny and the eggs it leaves for children to find. Using an ultrasonic range finder to determine the presence of a person, there are two sets of activities that occur. When a person is detected within 2 feet of the box, the bunny on the top of the box is stationary, and an LED matrix lights up with the pattern of an egg. When a person is not detected within 2 feet of the box, the LED matrix turns off and then there is a 2 second delay before the bunny begins to hop up and down.

All objects were drafted in Autodesk Inventor for the laser cutter.
